The new hospital came into operation on june 2007, and it is hoped a great impact around the Barcelona conurbation, on the neighbouring cities of Santa Coloma, and a great effect on the districts of Raval and Safaretjos especially on the surrroundings of Serra d'en Mena.

These are authentic laboratories for the coexistence and cohesion and their infraestructures deserve the highest quality. Therefore, we have begun a improvements plan that we will carry out.

• Improvements in sport facilities

The swimming pool of the Fondo neighbourhood

They were inaugurated on November 2005, this equipment has become into a extraordinary space of social dynamism and playful in the district of Fondo. This is showed by more than 2.500 users and 1.890.000 uses in last year.

Also we built a new sport centre with three indoor tracks in the district of Raval, so this way we will provide with better sport facilities to this part of the city.

• Improvement in cultural equipments and Cvic Centers

Associations and organizations of  the neighborhoods are basic parts to strengthen citizen's cohesion. The quality of their premises is important for social fabric in the neighbourhoods to develop in a suitable way their work. Thus, we are putting one's mind to a task to improve the Civic Centers and provide them with more and better sevices and equipments.
